ARLINGTON (WBAP/KLIF) – Ahead of November’s vote to build a new ballpark for the Rangers in Arlington, those pushing for approval have launched a Political Action Committee.
Arlington Mayor Jeff Williams says ‘Vote Yes! Keep the Rangers PAC’ is to educate voters on a number of things.
He says included in the education is letting the public know there will be no increase in taxes if approved.
“We’ll just be able to extend the sales tax that has been paying for AT&T Stadium to pay for the new ballpark,” said Williams.
The new ballpark, if approved, will include a retractable roof with air conditioning.
The new facility will keep the Rangers in Arlington through 2054.
