FORT WORTH (WBAP/KLIF News) – The Fort Worth Zoo will remain a gun-free facility after a decision from the Attorney General’s Office.
The ruling was prompted by a resident’s complaint that the zoo’s signs banning guns violated the state’s open carry laws.
According to the Fort Worth Star Telegram, the AG’s office ruled that the zoo is a privately-owned facility and has the right to ban weapons, but critics argued that the facility is on city-owned land.
The state said the case is closed.
