(WBAP/KLIF) — New information points to questions of mental instability in the Texas church shooting.
Keith Thomas Kinnunen was ruled mentally incompetent to stand trial on charges in 2012. However, he was later deemed competent for trial, but the charges were reduced to misdemeanors.

Kinnunen fatally shot two people at a White Settlement church, Sunday, before being shot and killed by a church security volunteer.
It’s unclear if Kinnunen’s psychological history would have barred him from legally buying the gun used in Sunday’s attack.
An ex-wife told the associated press yesterday that Kinnunen was deemed “really disturbed.” by the end of their six-year marriage.
