Last week’s Did You Miss It? tracked a North Texas church story, Dallas public safety and the Fort Hood execution. This week, the Justice Department charged 16 noncitizens in voting cases, and a Republican candidate protested his rival’s Dallas church over its continued use as a polling location.
State Rep. James Talarico (D-District 50), Democratic candidate Lesa Pamplin and state Rep. Jon Rosenthal (D-District 135) faced scrutiny over abortion, “transgender” issues and social-media posts. In McKinney, former Mayor George Fuller said police referred a recall-petition complaint to the Texas Rangers.
Dallas voters heard competing cases on Proposition A as City Hall considered more borrowing, slow-moving traffic-signal projects and Flock camera oversight. Parents and students challenged school policies involving privacy, sex-based sports and casting, while North Texas added jobs and major corporate investment.
