Moms for Liberty unveiled an artificial intelligence program at its national summit in Dallas on October 9 that the organization says will monitor school board agendas across approximately 13,000 school districts and alert parents before boards vote on policies it considers threats to parental rights.
Tina Descovich, co-founder and CEO of Moms for Liberty, introduced M4L AWARE during the organization’s 2026 Joyful Warriors National Summit. The acronym stands for “Agenda Watch, Alert, Respond, Engage,” according to the organization’s announcement.
“It is a tool that’s going to transform how we see policy in school districts. It is going to open up transparency in 13,000 school districts,” Descovich said during summit remarks recorded by The Dallas Express.
How the AI alerts work
Descovich said the technology already scans school district agendas, categorizes agenda items and flags issues for review.
“It’s incredible. It then categorizes them, all of the issues that are in the agendas, and it flags them. It rates them one to 10, naughty or nice, and it delivers them to the inboxes of our members in their communities across the country, and to the national team,” she said.
The organization intends to use the alerts to identify school districts considering “Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion” (DEI) policies, critical race theory, policies involving “gender identity,” tax increases and measures that Moms for Liberty believes violate parental rights or First Amendment protections.
The system will also identify districts whose policies align with the organization’s priorities.
“The good news is, for school districts that are doing the right thing, it also categorizes you and is going to rate you one to 10 naughty or nice,” Descovich said.
Organizing before school board votes
The announcement also included a warning to school districts that the organization believes violate parental rights.
“When we find out you’re violating parental rights, we’re going to fill those school board meetings up again. We are going to file lawsuits against you, and we are going to continue to win, win, win,” Descovich said.
Moms for Liberty says the program will provide members with information about agenda items before school boards vote, allowing parents to organize and respond.
The organization’s October 9 announcement does not provide accuracy-test results, explain how it handles incomplete or late-posted agendas, or detail the review process for its ratings.
The tool directs members to the underlying policies so they can read the source documents and question board members before votes, a Moms for Liberty spokesperson told Vanity Fair.
Moms for Liberty advocacy extends to Texas curriculum debate
Moms for Liberty leaders have also participated in debates over Texas education policy, including the state’s revised social studies standards. Denise Bell, chair of the organization’s Harris County chapter, defended the changes after Houston Muslim leaders criticized the curriculum’s treatment of Islam, The Dallas Express previously reported.
The controversy followed the State Board of Education’s September 4 approval of revised social studies standards. Islamic Society of Greater Houston President Emran Gazi said Houston-area mosques were helping register approximately 1,000 voters per week, the Houston Chronicle reported on September 16. The Dallas Express has not independently verified that figure.
That advocacy provides context for the organization’s new agenda-monitoring initiative, although the earlier curriculum debate does not establish that M4L AWARE played any role in the social studies dispute.
Descovich urged summit attendees to use the organization’s training sessions to organize in their communities.
“We are joyful warriors. We will do all of this with a smile on our face because we have truth on our side, and we do not co-parent with the government,” she said.
The 2026 summit ran October 8-11 in Dallas and featured discussions about education, parental rights and grassroots organizing.
