(WBAP/KLIF) — A Fort Worth daycare is facing a $1 million lawsuit after a substitute teacher was caught on video encouraging 4-year-olds to fight and throwing a child to the floor.
The incident occurred on April 27, 2026, and was captured on the facility’s security cameras. The family of the victim has filed a lawsuit against Arka Montessori Academy of Risinger, citing negligence, gross negligence, and premises liability. An independent investigation by the Texas Health and Human Services Commission found multiple violations at the daycare, including using prohibited methods of discipline and failing to ensure caregivers protect children.
The plaintiffs are seeking over $1 million in monetary relief and exemplary damages.
