TEL AVIV, Israel (AP) — U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio says there’s been “slight progress” in talks with Iran, amid uncertainty about a potential deal or renewed conflict. He spoke after President Trump paused a military strike, citing ongoing negotiations. Trump has threatened to end the ceasefire if no agreement is reached. Rubio’s comments came before a NATO meeting in Sweden, where the alliance is discussing its role in the Strait of Hormuz. Meanwhile, tensions persist as Iran has closed the Strait, and the U.S. is blockading ports. Saudi Arabia and the UAE reportedly launched attacks on Iranian targets during the war.
