(WBAP/KLIF) – DALLAS, TX – The Mavericks believe that the NHL franchise hasn’t done enough to help improve the the American Airlines Center, and that the Stars have neglected maintenance and improvement projects at the arena. The NBA franchise is also claiming that the Stars breached a clause in a 1998 franchise agreement by relocating their headquarters outside the City of Dallas in 2003. Both teams are under contract to play at the American Airlines Center for the next several years. However, the Mavericks are already looking at building a new arena in the city.
