Irving Police Search For Murder Suspect Considered Armed and Dangerous

IRVING (WBAP/KLIF News ) – Authorities are searching for a North Texas man believed to be the gunman in a recent murder in Irving.

According to a news release, 24-year-old Abel Alvarado Martinez was fatally shot outside his home on Ouida Street on Sunday.

Investigators have identified 32-year-old Erik Natanael Amador Godoy as the suspect. Authorities consider him armed and dangerous.

Martinez’ family said the tragedy was sparked by the victim’s argument with his tenants about a Martinez family car.

His sister told our media partner WFAA TV that after hearing the shots, she immediately rushed to check on her brother.

“And I started screaming ‘Abel, where are you?’ and I come to check by my truck and I see his feet and I thought he was still alive you know. But when I grabbed him and started checking him and stuff…he was already gone,” she said.

As the family mourns, Martinez sister’ and their family are hoping someone will come forward with information about Godoy’s whereabouts.

“I just hope justice will be done,” she said.

Irving Police said Amadar Godoy was last seen driving a dark gray Toyota Corolla with the Texas license plate SWD0839 and a sticker that reads #TodasMienten on the top left corner of the back window, several small stickers on the trunk and pink scratch mark stickers over the headlights.

Anyone with information is asked to contact local police.
