Severe Weather Possible in DFW; Watches Issued Monday Afternoon and Evening

Update at 3:00pm:

The Storm Prediction Center in Norman, Oklahoma has placed portions of North Texas under two different weather watches.

A Tornado Watch is in effect north and west of the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex including Denton and Wise counties until 9:00pm Monday.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch is in effect for areas south and west of the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex including Erath, Palo Pinto, Parker, and Hood counties until 9:00pm Monday night.

Original Story:

Thunderstorms are expected to bring gusty winds and possible hail late this afternoon and tonight into the DFW area. There will also be a low tornado threat with this activity, particularly north of I-20 and west of I-35 through the early evening.
