Fort Worth Zoo Gives Advice to Patrons on Half-Price Wednesday During Spring Break Crowds

FORT WORTH (WBAP/KLIF News ) – The Fort Worth Zoo is offering North Texans some useful tips on one of the popular destination’s busiest days.

It’s half-price Wednesday and spring break for many school districts across the Metroplex, which means longer lines and traffic jams.

The zoo is urging the public to plan for extra time and parking.

In addition to the advice, the zoo said it’s increased its staff by 40% for the spring and summer seasons.

The Zoo is also warning about a scam offering people fake discounted tickets in honor of the establishment’s 115-year anniversary.

In an Instagram post, the zoo reminds patrons that admission tickets can only be purchased through the zoo’s website or in person at the ticket booth.

Fort Worth Police are also giving tips on how to navigate traffic today:

Traveling from the South: Take I-35 W to Westbound W. Berry St. to Northbound University Dr.

Traveling from the North: Take I-30 to Southbound University Dr.
