Wilmer Amber Alert Canceled; Children Found Safe

An Amber Alert issued out of Wilmer in Dallas County Monday afternoon has been canceled after the two children at the center of the alert were found safe.

Police were looking for a 9 year old and 5 year old siblings allegedly taken by a woman driving a Dodge Challenger.

Police have since found the children unharmed. There are reports the suspect was arrested.

WILMER (WBAP/KLIF) – The Wilmer Police Department in Dallas County has issued an Amber Alert for 9-year-old Jazlyn Mendez, a Hispanic girl, 4 feet tall weighing 100 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.

Police are also looking 5-year-old Jionny Mendez… a Hispanic boy, 3 feet tall weighing 60 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes, wearing unknown clothing.

Police are looking for 26 year old Jaquelyn Hernandez, a Hispanic woman who is 5’4″ weighing 193 pounds with brown hair, brown eyes, wearing unknown clothing in connection with their abduction.

The suspect is driving a gray 2013 Dodge Challenger with a chrome gas cover bearing Texas license plate number TGF1548. The suspect was last seen in Wilmer, Texas.
