Airplane Makes Street Landing in South Dallas

(WBAP/KLIF) — An airplane made an emergency landing on a city street in South Dallas, Saturday afternoon.

At about 2:50 p.m., Dallas Fire-Rescue responded to a single engine aircraft that landed on Kiest boulevard near Ledbetter drive. The plane did not hit any vehicles or cause any injuries, except for damage to some utility lines and a speed limit sign. A husband and wife were aboard the plane during off-airport landing, but neither were injured.

Officials are investigating the reason for the emergency landing.
