Trump Responds to Jan. 6 committee subpoena by repeating ‘stolen election’ claims

Washington (WBAP/KLIF) – President Trump has responded in a memo to the Jan. 6 committee after the panel on Thursday voted to subpoena him in connection with effort his role in the US Capitol attack that aimed to stop the certification of the 2020 election.

Trump starts the letter by say in all caps, “The Presidential Election of 2020 was rigged and stolen.”

Trump goes on to blast what he called, “the same group of Radical Left Democrats” who utilized their Majority position in Congress to create the fiction. The former president listed, “Russia of Russia, Russia, Russia, Impeachment Hoax #1,Impeachment Hoax #2,” and several other congressional investigations that were spear-headed by the Democratic-led Congress.

He claims to have “done his job way ahead” of the Jan. 6th attack and alleges that “Washington Mayor Muriel Bowser did not do her job.” Trump further blasts the committee for, “not going after claims of election fraud” and lists numerous debunked claims of irregularities in some battleground state.

The memo states, “instead you have targeted only those who were, as concerned American Citizens, protesting the Fraud itself. Those who committed the Fraud, thereby having created the Crime of the Century, go unblemished and untouched, but those who fought the Crime have suffered a fate that was unthinkable just a short time ago.
