PLANO (WBAP/KLIF) – The North Texas Tollway Authority is looking for the rightful owner of a box of football jerseys.

According to NTTA, Roadside Safety Services crews recently recovered a box of red and white football jerseys fumbled onto lanes of the Sam Rayburn Tollway in McKinney.

“With football season just weeks away, we want to help keep the losing team’s Friday night lights on and return these jerseys for the homecoming they deserve,” said NTTA Spokesperson, Michael Rey.

It’s not the first time NTTA has tried to reunite a lost item with drivers.

“The wedding dress recovered last year from one of our roads was never claimed,” Rey said. “It is scheduled to go to auction.”

Rey is hopeful he’ll have better luck with the jerseys. The public is asked to contact [email protected] with identifying information to claim them.
