Undated (WBAP/KLIF) – The Food and Drug Administration has issued a consumer warning that a large batch of fresh, organic strawberries sold under the Kampo and HEB brands could be linked to a hepatitis outbreak. The FDA warns purchasers the strawberries should not be eaten, but should be thrown out right away. The catch is the strawberries were sold from March 5 to April 25, 2022, so even the FDA warning admits there is very little chance any purchasers would still have the berries, and there is even less chance such berries would still be edible. The strawberries were widely distributed in north Texas; sold by ALDI, HEB, Kroger, Safeway, Sprouts, Trader Joes, Walmart, and WINCO, and other retailers.
