(WBAP/KLIF) — Cowtown has become the talk of the country after a major partnership between the city and Texas A&M. Fort Worth will receive a $1.5 billion boost from Texas A&M. The university’s Board of Regents voted, Thursday, to approve an urban research campus in the downtown area.

John Goff of ‘Fort Worth Now’ says the venture will also attract more businesses and that has the eyes of entire country on Cowtown. The university will spend $170 million to start construction on a law and education building in 2023 and a research and innovation center in 2024.
According to WFAA, Fort Worth Mayor Mattie Parker believes the venture will draw business investment to the downtown area.
