Portions of North Texas under Severe Thunderstorm Watch

(WBAP/KLIF) – The Storm Prediction Center has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for the northern portion of the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex but it does not include either Dallas or Tarrant Counties.

The southern edge of the watch includes Collin and Denton counties along with Cooke, Fannin, Hunt, Grayson and other counties both north and east of the immediate metroplex.

Separately, a Tornado Watch is in effect for areas northeast of North Texas.

The Severe Thunderstorm Watch that includes areas north of Dallas and Fort Worth is set to expire at 9:00pm Monday evening.
