DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF) – The mother of a 3-year-old boy who died at Medical City Dallas on Monday after being shot in the face is in Police custody.

According to the Dallas Police Department, Officers arrested 26-year-old Lacravivonne Washington on Wednesday on outstanding warrants. She was transported to Dallas Police Headquarters to be interviewed regarding the death of the young boy.

Now, the 26-year-old has also been charged with tampering with physical evidence. An investigation determined Washington owned a handgun that she concealed during the investigation into the death of a three-year-old. The woman initially told Police that the boy was a possible victim of road rage, but investigators didn’t find evidence of that.

Police said that after her arrest, Washington declined to speak further to detectives and was transported to the Dallas County Jail for the outstanding warrants. Washington was also charged with Endangering a Child, due to the fact a weapon was accessible to a child.
