DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF) – An appeal in the murder conviction of former Dallas Police Officer Amber Guyger has been denied.
Guyger is serving a 10 year prison sentence after she said she shot Botham Jean in his Dallas apartment that she mistook as her own in 2018.
A request for lesser charges was denied last summer, but Guyger took the appeal to a higher court. This week, the 5th Court of Appeals in Dallas rejected a motion for a re-hearing.
