(WBAP/KLIF) – In the wake of General Colin Powell’s death, former President Donald Trump is highlighting what he called “mistakes” made by Powell when he was secretary of state.
A statement from the 45th President was released by the Political Action Committee Save America on Tuesday.
“Wonderful to see Colin Powell, who made big mistakes on Iraq and famously, so-called weapons of mass destruction, be treated in death so beautifully by the fake news media. Hope that happens to me someday,” read the President’s statement. “He was a classic RINO, if even that, always being the first to attack other Republicans. He made plenty of mistakes, but anyway, may he rest in peace!”
Powell’s family said Monday that he died from complications with COVID after battling a cancer of plasma cells.
