Boy Scouts Reach Largest Settlement in US History with Sex Abuse Victims

DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF) – The Boy Scouts of America have reached an agreement with attorneys representing more than 80,000 victims of child sex abuse.

The settlement with the Irving based organization is the largest of its kind in United States history at $850 million.

Claims of child abuse began to arise in the 1960s.

The Boy Scouts of America filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy last year.
