Six Injured When Truck Cuts Off Border Patrol Van

Van Horn (WBAP/KLIF) – At least six people were injured Thursday when an 18 wheeler cut off a Border Patrol van on a West Texas highway, and forced it off the road. Border Patrol spokesman Greg Davis says it happened on Interstate 10 about two miles east of Van Horn. Davis says the van carrying six detained migrants was in a passing lane when the truck pulled out of a roadside rest area right in front of it forcing it off the road, where it rolled. Two of the injured were seriously hurt, and had to be airlifted to an El Paso hospital. The remaining four were less seriously injured, and were taken to the hospital by ambulance. The driver of the semi was ticketed for causing the accident.
