President Biden to Visit Texas to Discuss Impact of Winter Storm

WASHINGTON D.C. (WBAP/KLIF) – President Joe Biden will visit Texas later this week in the aftermath of last week’s winter storm.

According to the White House, the President and the First Lady will travel to Houston on Friday.

The Biden Administration granted a major disaster declaration for the state in the wake of widespread power outages and unprecedented cold temperatures last week.

“The President will meet with local leaders to discuss the winter storm, relief efforts, progress toward recovery, and the incredible resilience shown by the people of Houston and Texas,” White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki said during a Tuesday briefing.

Psaki said the Biden administration remains in close touch with state and local elected official to monitor the state’s recovery.
