Corinth, TX (WBAP/KLIF) – A California man with Denton County roots was arrested in connection with last month’s the U.S. Capitol riot.
32-year old Daniel Goodwyn, a self-proclaimed Proud Boy was with family in Corinth when he was picked up by the FBI-Dallas over the weekend.
According to the criminal complaint Goodwyn posted about the insurrection on social media and is seen on a live stream posted by Anthime Gionet [an-theme gee-oh-nay], a well-known Neo-Nazi (aka ‘Baked Alaska’).
The complaint also says that Goodwyn is shown inside the Capitol building wearing dark sunglasses and a MAGA hat.
He is charged with entering a restricted building and violent entry and disorderly conduct on Capitol grounds.
On January 8th, Goodwyn posted to Twitter that his Facebook and Instagram accounts had been disabled.

Other posts on Goodwyn’s Twitter page include the proud boys logo which also reads ‘stand back, stand by,’ a phrase used by former President Trump during a presidential debate in September when asked by moderator Chris Wallace to denounce white supremacy. Trump did not condemn white supremacist groups and their role in violence in some American cities this summer, branding it solely a “left-wing” problem and telling the Proud Boys to “stand back and stand by.”

Thousands of supporters of the former president stormed the US Capitol based on repeated unfounded claims of massive voter fraud and Donald Trump’s contention taht the “election was stolen.” The Trump administration’s former director of election security was fired for saying that the 2020 election was the most secure in US history.
Meantime, several social media posts wrongly blamed Antifa and BLM for the Capitol insurgence or that the rioters were Antifa and BLM supporters
disguised as Trump supporters.
Early into its investigation, the FBI said that there was no evidence that Antifa or BLM was responsible. Subsequently, one left-wing activist was arrested after being identified by family members as being among those who entered the Capitol. John Sullivan (pictured right) told investigators that he was there to capture the events on video.
Sullivan told the podcast ‘The Journal of Steffanie Rivers’ that he is a a video journalist and activist. His social media handle is JadenX. He says that police used his video to file charges against rioters, then charged him with trespassing; and, he asks, “Why were other journalists on the scene not charged with the same?”
Among footage captured by Sullivan is the moment when a military vet was shot by Capitol Police as she attempted to climb through a window.
