Texas Shows More COVID Cases, More Hospital Beds

(WBAP/KLIF) — Over 8,600 Texans were hospitalized with COVID-19, Sunday, while health officials report more than 6,000 additional Coronavirus cases and 48 deaths.

However, the hospital bed situation in Texas has improved. Hospital bed capacity in Dallas county dropped to its lowest level since mid September, at 68%. That’s down from 75% on November 6th. In El Paso, the capacity level has dropped to 79%, freeing up more bed space for patients.

According to El Paso Mayor Dee Margo, the COVID-19 surge appears to be hitting a plateau.
