Dallas COVID Trending Upwards

(WBAP/KLIF) — Dallas County’s weekly infection rate has reached its highest level since the pandemic began. County health officials are reporting nearly 1,400 new cases per day.

That could get worse as Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins is anticipating an increase in Coronavirus cases once testing sites re-open Monday. Most testing sites have been closed for the Thanksgiving holiday weekend.

However, there’s good news regarding hospital bed capacity. Dallas Mayor Eric Johnson’s office indicated a drop from 75% capacity on November 6th, to 68% Sunday.
