George W. Bush Congratulates Joe Biden; Says,”outcome is clear”

Dallas (WBAP/KLIF) – Former President George W. Bush has has congratulated President-elect and Vice President-elect Joe Biden and Kamala Harris.

In a news release from his Dallas home, Bush said, “Though we have political differences, I know Joe Biden to be a good man, who has won his opportunity to lead and unify our country.”

Bush statement read in part, ““President Trump has the right to request recounts and pursue legal challenges, and any unresolved issues will be properly adjudicated,” he said. “The American people can have confidence that this election was fundamentally fair, its integrity will be upheld, and its outcome is clear.”

The message comes amid allegations of a “stolen election” by the President Trump and the Trump campaign.

A number of the president’s tweets have been flagged by Twitter as false or disputed as the tweet below:

Bush is the most prominent Republican to put a stamp of legitimacy on the election.

The statement says that he spoke to President-elect and Vice President-elect by phone.
