Nearly 15,000 Texans Have Died Due to COVID-19

(WBAP/KLIF) — Almost 15,000 Texans have died due to COVID-19 after another 77 fatalities occurred Tuesday.  Two of those deaths were in Denton county, bringing the Denton death toll to 109. Dallas county has 1,000 Coronavirus deaths, Tarrant county 636, and Collin county 138.

Texas has a total of over 716,000 positive results out of nearly 5.7 million tests.  The mortality rate in the Metroplex is 1.2%, while statewide it’s 2.1%.  The Metroplex reported a total of 618 additional positive tests for Coronavirus, Tuesday.  Dallas county listed 172 newly confirmed positive tests, Tarrant ocunty 302 additional positives, Collin county 49, while Denton county had 95.   64 of the 95 positive results in Denton county came from active cases.

In all, North Texas has hit nearly 151,000 confirmed positive tests, with over 78,000 in Dallas county. Tarrant county lists almost 48,000, Collin over 13,000, and Denton close to 12,000.
