(WBAP/KLIF NEWS)- The deadline to register to vote is quickly approaching and one company is stepping up to encourage younger people to vote.
The popular sports and footwear retailer Foot Locker has partnered with ‘Rock the Vote’ in order to encourage 18 to 24 year old’s to vote in the upcoming election. Starting September 22nd, also known as Voter Registration Day, visitors at any Foot Locker locations across the country will have access to a digital hub which will allow them to check their voter registration status, look at a sample ballot, and find polling locations.
“In a year marked with such uncertainty, amid a pandemic and social unrest, our country’s future has never felt more fragile,” said Frank Bracken, CEO Foot Locker North America. “At Foot Locker, our mission is to inspire and empower youth culture, so partnering with Rock the Vote was a natural fit to help educate and amplify the voices of today’s youth.”
The deadline to register to vote in Texas is Monday, October 5th. To check your registration status visit www.votetexas.gov.
