Dallas County Breaks Another Coronavirus Record on Wednesday

DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF News) – Dallas County Reported Another 36 coronavirus deaths on Wednesday. That’s another daily record for Dallas County, with 26 out of the 36 deaths reported in the city of Dallas.

The 36 deaths come with an additional 704 positive cases reported. That brings the total confirmed case count in Dallas County to 48,732, which includes 658 confirmed deaths. The 36 deaths reported Wednesday include 26 in Dallas, two in Cedar Hill and Seagoville, and one each in Carrollton, Mesquite, Duncanville, Garland, Lancaster, & Irving.

The county also reported over 1,800 children under 18 years of age have been diagnosed with confirmed COVID-19 since July 1st. A press release from Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins’ office also reported that during that same timeframe, 38 children were hospitalized for covid-19, including four admitted to intensive care units.

Dallas County, urging the community to continue the spirit of sacrifice; staying home as much as possible, avoiding unnecessary trips, maintaining social distancing of 6 feet apart, and always wearing a mask around people outside your home.

The percentage of people testing positive in Dallas County remains high, with about 22% of symptomatic patients at area hospitals testing positive in the last week.
