DALLAS – WBAP/KLIF – Dallas County on Saturday reported a revised 1,031 cases with 9 additional deaths.
Tarrant County Saturday also reported five additional deaths, and 288 new cases of the novel coronavirus; significantly below last Wednesday’s new case number reported as 857.
Denton County on Saturday reported 122 new cases and no new deaths.
in Dallas Friday, 25 hospitals reported ventilator and bed capacity numbers to Mayor Eric Johnson’s office. The reporting requirements are meant to provide data to decision-makers and information to the public regarding the medical community’s capacity to handle COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations.
Here are the aggregate capacity totals for Friday, as reported by the 25 hospitals:
- Total beds: 5,975
- Beds occupied: 4,163
- Total ICU beds: 922
- ICU beds occupied: 655
- Total ventilators: 963
- Ventilators in use: 375
