KILLEEN (WBAP/KLIF NEWS)- The search for the remains of missing Fort Hood soldier Vanessa Guillan has come to an end.

The Guillan family attorney confirmed Sunday night that remains found last week near the Leon River, just 30 miles from Fort Hood, are those of Vanessa Guillan, who went missing on April 22nd.

The primary suspect in the murder, Army Specialist Aaron Robinson, killed himself before being arrested in Killeen on July 1st. The civilian suspect in the case, 22-year-old Cecily Ann Aguilar was arrested last week and charged with one count of conspiracy to tamper with evidence.

Robinson reportedly told Auigilar that he had killed Guillen by striking her in the head multiple times with a hammer at Fort Hood on April 22nd. He is believed to have asked Auigilar for help in the disposal of Guillen’s body, which included mutilating and attempting to burn the body.
