PLANO (WBAP/KLIF NEWS)- A Plano fire work show caused brush fires late Saturday night just south of the Plano Convention Center.

The two fires began almost 20 minutes into the All American 4th Fire Work Show in the area of Jupiter road and Parker road after a 6 inch mortar exploded in its launching tube, setting off other mortars near by, according to Plano Fire-Rescue.

Fire crews who were already on the seen before the incident took place say they had the fires contained about an hour later at 11 p.m.

Nobody was injured in the incident but several acres of field were burned according to Plano Fire-Rescue.
