Dallas County Reports over 1,000 New Cases Friday

Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins

DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF) – Dallas County reported a record 1,085 new COVID 19 cases Friday. This was expected after the Dallas County Health Director said it was likely to happen during a news conference on Thursday.

Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins is urging people to avoid large gatherings and going to public pools over the Fourth of July holiday weekend.

“What the doctors are asking is that you find a way to celebrate this July Fourth with only the people you are around daily. Your family, your roommate,” Jenkins said.

He says to avoid any unnecessary trips and avoid in-person activities such as dining and indoor exercise where people cannot wear a mask all of the time.
