Texas Restaurants Adjust to New Mask Requirements

DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF) – Texas restaurants are trying to figure out how to do business with some counties requiring masks and appropriate social distancing.

Starting Saturday, Dallas County will require masks be worn by all employees and customers or face a fine up to $500.

Dr. Emily Williams Knight is the President and CEO of the Texas Restaurant Association and says the new rules need to be clear to customers.

“This is something that’s expected. They (restaurants) need to post on the outside, so consumers know,” said Knight.

Restaurants are currently allowed to operate at 75 percent capacity

Masks are allowed to be taken off while eating and drinking.
