Metroplex COVID-19 Totals Approaching 23,000

(WBAP/KLIF) — North Texas’ four major counties are nearing 23,000 cases of Coronavirus.  Wednesday’s numbers placed Dallas County cases just under 13,000 with 274 deaths. Three of the deaths occurred yesterday, including a woman in her 40s.

Tarrant County has nearly 6,600 cases and 189 dead. Denton and Collin counties are each just below 1,600 COVID-19 patients and a combined 73 deaths.

Texas has a total of almost 80,000 cases of the virus and closing in on 1,900 deaths.

Dallas county 12,945 cases (300 new), 274 deaths (3 new)

Tarrant county 6,599 cases (166 new), 189 deaths (5 new)

Denton county 1,599 cases (40 new), 36 deaths (1 new)

Collin county 1,597 cases (16 new), 37 deaths

Metroplex 22,740 cases (522 new), 536 deaths

Texas 79,757 cases, 1,885 deaths
