COVID-19 Cases in Metroplex Top 22,000

(WBAP/KLIF) —  22,219 cases of COVID-19 have been reported in the Metroplex.  Dallas county reported just under 300 new cases, Tuesday, to bring the county-wide total to over 12,645 with 7 new deaths.  Tarrant county reported 6 new deaths with 6,433 infected residents, while Denton and Collin counties are each nearing 1,600 cases with one additional death reported  Statewide there are 77,253 Coronavirus cases with 1,853.

14 victims of COVID-19 lost their lives in North Texas, Tuesday. Of the seven deaths in Dallas county, one was in their 30’s, one in their 40s and another in their 50s. Dallas county health officials report 271 total deaths.  Six Tarrant county residents lost their battle with Coronavirus bringing the county-wide death toll to 184. Denton and Collin counties report a combined 72 deaths to date with only 1 additional fatality.  The Metroplex death count is at 527.

Dallas county 12,645 cases (298 new), 271 deaths (7 new), 2.1% fatality rate

Tarrant county 6,433 cases (64 new), 184 deaths (6 new), 2.9% fatality rate

Denton county 1,559 cases (35 new), 35 deaths (1 new), 2.2% fatality rate

Collin county 1,582 cases (18 new), 37 deaths, 2.3% fatality rate

Metroplex 22,219 cases (415 new), 527 deaths 2.4% fatality rate

Texas 77,253 cases, 1,853 deaths, 2.4% fatality rate
