In Some Cities Police Officers Joined Demonstrators Against Police Brutality

Undated (WBAP/KLIF) – In some cities across the country, police officers joined protesters in a call for an end to police brutality.

Images went viral of officers in from Miami-Dade, Florida who took a knee — a pose made famous by NFL QB Colin Kaepernick, in his silent protests against injustice on the football field.

Other cities where police joined the protesters, according to Fortune Magazine:

“Genesee County Sheriff Chris Swanson took off his helmet and laid his baton down in Flint, Michigan, before he joined the assembled crowd to march, eliciting cheers.

Officers in Camden, New Jersey, helped carry a banner reading “Standing in Solidarity,” and seemed to join in with the crowd chanting “no justice, no peace.”

In Santa Cruz, California, The police chief took a knee with protesters.

Two Kansas City, Missouri, police officers were seen holding up a sign reading “end police brutality.”

Some Trump supporters express their displeasure with seeing police officers ‘take a knee.’

TRUMP 2020.@AHGFLORIDA

“Shame on these small department Police Chiefs from South Florida. Kneeling a la Kapernick, knowing that’s an anti cop and anti USA message. They should apologize to all the veterans, patriots and Police Officers.”
