Fort Worth Implements Curfew

Fort Worth (WBAP/KLIF) — The city of Fort Worth is getting ready for another night of possible unrest.

A city will implement an 8 p.m. curfew following Sunday nights civil unrest which led to police using tear gas, smoke screens and flash-bang grenades to disperse a crow near the West 7th Street Bridge.

Fort Worth Mayor Betsy Price said in a press conference Monday afternoon that she’s been in contact with city leaders across the country to try and figure out the best way to handle the current situation.

“I’ve been on a couple of different calls with the top 25 to 30 cities in the nation. Chief and I were on one Saturday afternoon, I think it was, with the mayors and the police chiefs in several of those cities, and its always helpful to see what others are dealing with and how they’re doing it,” said Price.

Price said she believes  the community has continued trust in the Fort Worth Police Department.
