(WBAP/KLIF) — As Texas continues to reopen its economy during the Coronavirus pandemic, health officials report there were 839 new cases of the virus reported in the state for a total of over 55-thousand.
785 new cases of the virus appeared, Sunday, while 31 residents died of the illness.
The Lone Star State has over 48,000 cases with a total of over 1,500 fatalities. State health officials feel the numbers may be higher due to many be asymptomatic and not being tested.
The number of deaths in Texas increased by 13, for a total of 1,519. Governor Greg Abbott has been reopening the state’s economic activity in phases.
