ARLINGTON (WBAP/KLIF)- As the University of Texas at Arlington concludes the spring 2020 semester and enters the summer term, online, UTA is planning and preparing for the safe start of on-campus instruction and residential life in the fall semester, while implementing health and safety precautions to minimize the spread of COVID-19.
The University is working on a phased approach for UTA’s campus and facilities and is exploring all options to bring all faculty, staff and students back to campus, while ensuring the wellbeing of all. Planning has begun for accommodating in-person instruction, as well as campus housing, research and events. The University’s plans will strongly depend on the ongoing status of the pandemic.
Academics in the fall 2020 semester will likely include both in-person and online instructions, to ensure the highest quality of learning, while observing crucial public health and safety protocols.
“In-person learning and on campus residential life and events are important opportunities in the academic experience of UTA students. We look forward to being able to offer some courses and events in-person and others online. While life will be different when we return for the fall semester, one thing will never change: UTA’s commitment to putting students first, excellence always,” said Interim President Teik C. Lim. “Health and safety concerns will be of paramount importance in our planning, as we find new and innovative ways to provide the highest level of instruction to our students.”
