(WBAP/KLIF) — Texas has over 33,000 COVID-19 cases, almost 9,000 of which are in North Texas. Denton and Collin counties each report over 800 cases, while Tarrant county has nearly 2,700.
Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins says a startling statistic is now emerging with many of the new cases involving those under 65 years of age. The Metroplex had over 350 new cases, Tuesday. Dallas County hit a single-day record in Coronavirus cases for a third day in a row.
Jenkins says the county has over 250 new cases of COVID-19. Tarrant county reported 62 new cases, while Denton and Collin counties combined for 50 new cases.
The Metroplex is nearing 250 deaths, while statewide there are over 900. Dallas county reports 121 deaths, Tarrant county lists 83 fatalities, while Denton and Collin counties combine for 44 deaths.
