DALLAS – WBAP/KLIF – Former President George W. Bush issued a short recorded statement on Instagram today, calling on Americans to unify and support each other during these times of the Covid 19 pandemic.
The former President urged creative processes to fight the pandemic, and find common ground with others, as federal lawmakers and governors battle on testing, re opening, and just about every Covid 19 pandemic-issued regulation still in place.
“In the final analysis, we are not partisan combatants. We are human beings, equally vulnerable and equally wonderful in the sight of God. We rise or fall together…Let’s remember that the suffering we experience as a nation does not fall evenly. In the days to come, it will be especially important to care in practical ways for the elderly, the ill and the unemployed,” Bush said. More than 30 million people have filed for unemployment in the last six weeks, as the economy has largely shut down to combat the pandemic.”
The nearly three minute video with a music bed was released on the former President’s Instagram account Saturday.
