(WBAP/KLIF) — Tarrant County is quickly approaching Dallas County as the hot spot for COVID-19. Tarrant County health officials report 129 new cases of the disease, while Dallas county reported 80. Collin County had 25 news cases, while Denton confirmed 17 additional residents infected.
Overall, Dallas county still has the most deaths related to COVID-19 with 72, Tarrant County has 45, while 19 people have died in Denton, and 14 in Collin. In all, there are 251 new cases in the Metroplex, with 150 North Texans losing their lives due to Coronavirus.
The surge of Coronavirus cases in Tarrant county keeps the Metroplex totals increasing, as nearly 56-hundred North Texans have been confirmed to have the virus. Tarrant County health officials, Thursday, reported 1,559 total cases. Statewide, 561 Texans have died of Coronavirus and nearly 22,000 are infected.
