Coronavirus Nears 2,500 Cases in Metroplex

(WBAP/KLIF) — The Metroplex is just shy of 2,500 confirmed cases of Coronavirus and nearing 50 deaths.  Dallas County still has more than twice the number of COVID-19 cases than any other North Texas county with 1,261. Tarrant County reported 517, Denton with 366, and Collin county lists 343 infected residents.

The death toll sits at 48 with Dallas County reporting 19, Tarrant 18, Denton 7 fatalities, and Collin with 4.  234 new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed in the Metroplex, tuesday. The total number of confirmed cases has reached 2,487 with 48 deaths.

The total number of cases jumped more than 10%, while the North Texas fatality rate sits at 1.9%.  Statewide there are over 8,200 cases of Coronavirus with 154 Texas lives lost.
