Collin County Reporting 31 New Cases of Coronavirus in the Last 24 Hours

DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF News) – North Texas’ Collin County has confirmed 31 new cases of Coronavirus in the last 24 hours. That brings the total to 118 confirmed positive cases in Collin County. And 41 confirmed COVID-19 cases in Plano.

Steve Stoler with the City of Plano broke down the number of confirmed cases in the city of plano by age group. Of the 41 cases in Plano, he said there are 22 men and 19 women. “The largest group is 40-49 years…old you have 13 cases, 50-59 we have six, and 60-69 we have 10…that’s the second largest group, and 70-79 we have four cases.”

In the City of Plano, there are no confirmed cases for age 0-19 or age 80 & older . With a deeper dive into the most recent numbers, there have been 547 negative tests in Collin County. 33 people have successfully recovered. 9 are hospitalized and 75 remain in home isolation. There are 137 Persons Under Monitoring (PUM) in Collin County. There has been 1 confirmed death associated with COVID-19 in Collin County (Plano).

When asked if he had any advice for the residents of Collin County and / or the City of Plano, Stoler said “The best thing you can do is just stay home, bottom line.”
