North Texas Schools Will Pay Employees Forced To Stay Home

DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF News) — School boards in multiple North Texas districts have decided to continue to pay employees while schools are shut down to stop the spread of COVID-19.

According to CBS districts in Dallas, Fort Worth, Midlothian and Cedar Hill have informed teachers and other employees, including substitutes, salaried, hourly and auxiliary workers that they will continue to be receive full pay while schools and related activities are indefinitely cancelled.

Many teachers will continue to work at home creating and implementing online curricula. Students are getting lessons online and those in need of meals will have breakfasts and lunches delivered.
