Parkland Hospital to Begin Drive-Thru COVID-19 Testing

Dallas-Fort Worth (WBAP/KLIF) – Among locations offering drive-thru COVID-19 testing across the metroplex today is Catalyst Health Network in Plano and Parkland Hospital in Dallas.

Dr. Christopher Crow, president of Catalyst Health Network talked to WFAA-TV about how the tests will roll out.

“It won’t be something that’s very public. We’re keeping it very disclosed where we’re doing it first. We’re going to focus just on healthcare workers who are on the front lines that are seeing some symptoms.”

Procedures and parameters will be the same for Parkland which also begins drive-thru tests today.

Procedures will be the same for parkland hospital. a phone screen must be conducted before being accepted for a test.

Tests results will likely take 1-to -3 days.  There is no word on when the tests will be available to the public at-large, but generally tests are conducted on individual exhibiting symptoms.
