UPDATED
(WBAP/KLIF) – Dallas county and Tarrant county have each confirmed presumptive positive cases for COVID-19. Two of the three victims recently traveled out of state. The Tarrant county victim recently returned from a business conference in Kentucky, while the 77 year old Dallas county patient recently arrived from another state. A third Dallas county victim was a close contact of the 77 year old.
According to Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins, the infected individuals in Dallas county did not use mass transit and traveled by vehicle.
Those who have come into contact with the individuals have been notified. Dallas Mayor Eric Johnson was quoted in the statement, “The City of Dallas has been making preparations for COVID-19 for weeks,” Johnson said. “I remain confident in our collective ability to handle these cases.”
“Know that we are vigilant in our response, dedicated to your safety, and committed to getting you pertinent information in a timely and transparent matter,” Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins said in the same statement.
